Two Thumbs Up for Sarah

Today our lives were manipulated by fast growing technologies, wherein new trends and styles popped out in an instance, and if you are unupdated and unequipped with newest innovation surely you’ll miss the slot of being fab. Moreover, if you are inquisitive enough, then consider yourself primitive.
Because of this rush and noticeable changes and development all of us must adapt. An adaptation that leads to our consciousness. On what we are going to say, to do, or even to wear to express ourselves and to feel the insurance of belongness. Fitted jeans and skirts, dresses in different styles. In fact, most of us were addicted to trends of fashion that can make us stand out among others. This also dig the trenchant wit and creative ideas of the designers and manufacturers.

But unfortunately, for a 16 year old overweight teenager named Sarah, that was a dream far from reality. She was contented with her large faded jeans and her large T-shirts. What more can she show off? For a teenager that grown as more or less three hundred pounds. These things are impossible to happen even herself found her unattractive and her weight was the gate way of teasers and critics and teasers mouth had became a melodic hum, because she was used to it and she became dumb enough to hear those hurtful and painful words thrown to her everyday. She almost give up and finally succumb. Totally! She lose much not her weight but she loses much tears. Tears of discouragements and disappointments. She became hopeless.
Everyday she loses her pride and self-confidence, if ever you`ll be standing in her shoes, you`ll gonna feel what she`d felt. Losing interest in everything she want to do.
One time, near end of her senior year, one of her male classmate teased her, words like “giant, shrek, ugly beast” and many painful words uttered. In shame, she just burst out, broke down and she cried as if she can`t barely breath. Until her older brother came along and without hesitation he showed his sympathy by giving a hard punch, kick, and grapple her teaser. They found themselves in guidance office that day.
After the shameful experience (not that much, if they might be respectful and considerate enough). She began to realize and that realization may change other`s way of treating her.
“ I have to lose weight”, that was her target goal. Because of this alarming weight, “I can`t do everything i wanna do”. “Walking in distance and climbing stares is my great burden. I can`t even go swimming. I can`t wear pretty dresses. And I can`t get along with others, I have plenty of CAN’Ts. Her journey towards self-actualization began and was really a tough one. She must change everything and every corner of her personality (her wants must be lessen.) “She must let go of everything that satisfies her and she must replaces it to some things that benefits her”.
From the food she eats (“What she ate is what she was”). When she eats anything disregarding the benefits she gets, it means a lot and that is unhealthy. Until the last disciplinary task she must observed to completely change herself. (It`s been a step by step process of eliminating her unnecessary wants).
 Just like:
v  "She eats everytime, everywhere."
v  "She loves junk foods and craves for more."
v  "Her favourites were something (actually it`s everything) “Instants and sweets.”
v  "She loves cooking but undeniably she loves more eating."
v  "She eats veges but she eats more rice and she wakes up for midnight snack."
v  "She want to skip breakfast but she eats more on dinner."
v  "She likes to play outdoor but she feel tired and prefer to sit in a couch, watching tv,"
v  And everyday she spent eating, sleeping, doing nothing."
But that was the old and far out remembered Sarah...
It was almost 3 years ago.
Today, she lost more than half of her weight.
Presently, ”She became fond of eating fruits and fresh veges”
“She never store plenty of chocolates in her cabinet anymore, instead she share it to her brothers.
“She learns to eat properly and not skips meals.”
“She learns to hate junk foods and consider it as her no.1 enemy.
“Exercise had become her addiction and loving herself was her greatest achievements and best accomplishment.”

These all can’t be realize if she let self pity eaten her entirely. Instead she let self-discipline and self-trust prevailed. Her indefatigable character was her stepping stone.
She’s appealing, gorgeous, and over all attractive. She has grown as a fair lady and her words are suave as well as her actions. A God fearing, a loving daughter, and a future hotelier.
I never expected that she’d grew as confident and gain a fuller self-esteem. That’s very Inspiring and very Surprising too! She changed Everything, excluding her personality.
            “She really deserves an applause”.
This column was inspired and dedicated to a true person.
“Don’t let your weight manipulates you, instead be yourself and let yourself manipulates your weight.”
Through her it came across my mind, If she can do it, Why can’t I? Why can’t you?
Well if you agree with me give me a thumb up and two thumbs up for Sarah for “Job well done.”
BUT IT’S REALLY UP TO YOU. ..

 TIMOTHEA :)
